Description WIMA HDS-M - density separator
WIMA’s HDS-M density separator is a compact complete solution for purifying reusable waste flows for parts as small as 10mm, by means of water. Material flows such as biomass contaminated with stones, construction and demolition waste and fluff with stones are just a few examples of products you can treat with this separator.
The material enters the heart of the HDS-M through the bunker with pre-rinsing. Due to gravity, heavier particles sink to the bottom. A shaftless auger at the bottom of the water basin discharges the heavy particles. The lightweight particles float with the flow of the water. The core of the HDS-M is the adjustable pushing propeller at the bottom of the machine. This provides an upward flow of water that causes lightweight materials to enter the drum. The drum serves mainly as a dewatering device for the light material flow. In this way, water loss will be minimized.

Smet Rental ADVICE:
To ensure efficient operation, we recommend placing the separator in line with a drum screen, vibrating screen or conveyor belt with bunker. A conveyor belt can be placed below the heavier fraction to allow longer operation without having to dispose of the material.
