Description WIMA HDS-S - density separator
The HDS-S density separator from WIMA is a compact complete solution for purifying reusable waste flows for particles as small as 6mm, by means of water.
The machine can be divided into the following main parts:
– the separation room
– a discharge conveyor for lightweight materials
– an auger for the discharge of heavier materials
The heart of the HDS-S is the adjustable pusher propeller at the bottom of the separation room, which generates an upward flow of water. The material is moved into the separation room. Dense materials will sink to the bottom. The open auger at the bottom of the water tank discharges the dense materials. The generated upflow lifts the lightweight particles and moves them to the discharge conveyor. Using water, even materials with densities > 1g/cm3 can be separated from heavier particles.
